On October 9 and 10, 2025, our PhD candidate in Human Security and Global Law and researcher at the Manuel Ballbé Chair, Júlia Serrat Cabello, participated as a speaker at the III National Congress on Inclusive and Accessible Networking, organized by Humanamente Inclusiva in Madrid.
Her presentation, titled “Mental Health Prevention from a Psychosocial Perspective for Effective Inclusion in the Workplace”, offered a compelling reflection on the need to address mental health as a central pillar for achieving genuine inclusion in professional environments. Júlia emphasized the importance of the human security approach as a transformative framework to turn the concept of inclusion into concrete action.
Throughout her talk, she proposed improvements, solutions, and professional alternatives to tackle current challenges related to equality among workers. She also shared insights from her research on psychosocial risks and the situation of the LGBTI+ community within corporate organizations, a contribution that earned her an award at the 1st Inclusive and Accessible Networking Awards.
From the Manuel Ballbé Chair, we celebrate this participation as a testament to the academic and social commitment of our research community to promoting inclusion, equality, and human security across all sectors of society.
