On December 22, 2022, sociologist Júlia Serrat , an expert in labor disputes and equality, gave a lecture organized by Securitas as part of the actions of its Equality Plan , in collaboration with the Manuel Ballbé Chair .
Throughout his presentation, Serrat shared reflections based on his academic and professional career, highlighting how his academic and work experience has allowed him to develop practical tools to address challenges in the fields of business sociology, risk prevention, and occupational safety.
One of the central themes of his talk was applied psychosociology , a field he actively researches. In this regard, he explained that psychosocial risks —such as stress or lack of team cohesion—are critical factors that affect business performance, since "if employees don't have flow, the organization doesn't move forward."
